CAMP BADO DANGWA, Benguet — 50 police officers of Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROCOR) started training their Motorcycle Riding Course (MCRC) at Camp Major Bado Dangwa.
The MCRC is a specialized training for police and other law enforce agencies that is focused on the development and enhancement of the skills of the participants. It is emphasized on developing control, precision, confidence and instinctive skills based on existing industry safety standards in the basic and tactical police operations, handling and maintenance of high performance motorcycles.
Chief Supt Rolando Nana, Cordillera police chief said their importance of finishing the course to enhance their response capability especially in police operations like checkpoints, beat patrol, emergency services and hot pursuit operations.
“This is one effective way we could be felt by the people and easy way we could go after criminals in the streets especially that other criminals use motorcycle as their way of evasion just like the riding-in-tandem.” RD Nana said.
The 45-day course is a joint effort of PROCOR and the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) Cordillera. – PROCOR-RPIO
