AMBULANCE DRIVER IN ABRA SHOT DEAD

CAMP BADO DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet — An ambulance driver was shot dead after a drinking spree over the week.

Chief Supt. Rolando Nana, Cordillera region police chief identified the victim as as Larry Tanura Baldemor aka “Aning”, 45, ambulance driver in the municipality of San Juan, Abra, and resident of Namit-ingan, Dolores, Abra.

Reports reaching the office of Nana disclosed that, at around 5:00 PM of January 16, 2019, the victim was drinking at the residence of Cristin Jane and had a heated argument with his cousin, Arnel Tagudar, 32, married, and resident of said place.

Baldemor reportedly slapped Tagudar, both were pacified by their companions.  Tagudar reportedly went home after the incident.

At around 11:45 p.m. of the same day, Baldemor reportedly left the place and after a few minutes, a gunshot was heard, Baldemor was seen running along the road and fell down in front of the house of Barangay Chairman Noli B. Turqueza.

Residents rushed the victim to Dolores Medical Hospital where he was  declared dead on arrival by the attending physician with lone gunshot wound (nine pellet holes) on the right lower abdomen and left forearm.

Recovered at the crime scene was black Samsung (keypad) cellular phone of the victim and now subject for further technical examination, while SOCO personnel also recovered a 12 gauge shot shell near the crime scene.

Tagudar was invited for investigation and paraffin casting by authorities and likewise included  Ronald Baldemor who witnessed the incident. — Larry Madarang
