LAMUT, Ifugao- – The Ifugao State University (IFSU) is eyeing for an International Organization of Standardization (ISO) certification to raise its standards as a premier higher institution.

University officials disclosed that the different departments of the institution will be subjected to external audit by the ISO in the coming months.

IFSU President, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, lauded the initial steps of the university to be subjected for an external audit of ISO 9001:215 on Quality Management System by April 2019.

“ISO certification is one of the ways to propel the growth of our University. There is no better way to jumpstart our 2019 by changing the status quo and setting a ‘growth mindset.’ We need to level up as an average University by embracing international standards,” she said.

Dugyon asked all personnel to put their hearts as one and embrace change and create great things for the university. “Your commitment, cooperation, and courage are keys in our pursuit for ISO certification,” she stated.

Dr. Freddie Caday, Vice President for Administration, considers the upcoming ISO internal audit as a milestone since it is an important criteria for the levelling up and improving the services as a University for its clienteles and stakeholders.

“With the ISO processes and certification, we hope to deliver the best services and satisfy our clients,” added Caday.

IFSU aims to be the third state college and university in the Cordillera region to be ISO 9001:2015-certified after Benguet State University and Mountain Province State Polytecnic College. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
