CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela,(PIA) – The Isabela Provincial Cooperative Development Council (IPCDC) has started raising funds for the restoration of a damaged school building in Barangay Del Pilar in Alicia, Isabela.

Lilia Castillo, provincial cooperative development officer, said the council deemed it necessary to extend help to schools that were affected by typhoon so that students can use it again.

According to Castillo, the IPCDC is conducting an outreach program annually through gift-giving and feeding, but this year they opted to help in the restoration of a damaged school buildings after Typhoons Ompong and Rosita hit the province and leave so much devastation.

Castillo said they are accepting donations in cash and in kind such as construction materials. She said proceeds of the fund raising will be used to purchase contsruction materials needed for the restoration of the school building at barangay Del Pilar.

Dubbed as “KooPagAsa Hatid ng IPCDC sa Del Pilar Elementary School, East District, Del Pilar, Alicia, Isabela”, the cooperative is set to turn over the proceeds to the school officials on Dec. 22.

She urged cooperatives from the different towns and cities in Isabela to donate and attend the activity on Dec. 22. Donations can be sent directly to the Provincial Cooperative Development Office located in San Mateo, Isabela. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
